Before we dive into what we do know, it's important to point out what we're not saying:
1. Urban Meyer was not in Columbus yesterday or anytime in the last couple of weeks.
2. There is no contract in place between Urban Meyer and Ohio State. Nothing signed, whatsoever.
Now, here's what we do know based off of multiple sources that have a proven track record with delivering timely information to us:
1. There has long been mutual interest between Ohio State and Urban Meyer.
2. Urban has agreed in principle to take the position next year. Numbers have been exchanged and agreed upon via back-channel talks.
3. Ohio State and Meyer are waiting for the NCAA to deliver their verdict, after which time, the announcement of Meyer as the new head coach will take place...

This should come as no surprise to anyone, of course, but new info is new info. I wonder if Herbstreit will follow his dream to get into coaching.
