These people should really have not been given the time of day. They have nothing to lose and their only desire is to have someone bash their head in to satisfy and validate their anti-authority paranoia.

It doesn't have to be that way at all. I saw some video of the Halifax camp being dismantled and while there was some physical contact and arrests it was far from brutal. In fact it looked well controlled and the police just did what had to be done.
