I think Texas had as good a selection as anyone but not sure it is that much, if better, than what the other top 5 teams like Bama, Oklahoma , LSU, Florida and USC have.

No doubt but in CFB recruiting some players don't make it in for numerous reason (not saying this is AP's deal) but full at RB class, grades, they (school) thought someone was a better fit ect. It happens all the time, Look at UF we coaxed Brantley to come back to UF after he committed to Texas. He is a Gator legacy and came to UF when it would of probably suited him better by going to UT instead of UF. Recruiting is a crap shoot really, some kids may be freaks in HS but that could be to the talent they're playing, that could be that they're just physically more mature than those other HS kids and reached their peak in HS and never make it to the big show in the CFB world. Some "cant miss" prospects end up being huge misses while some come in as 2-3*'s and make it big.
