Hey guys,

Not much of a camera guru by anymeans, and neither is my fiance... but her birthday is coming up and she has taken a liking to photography - so I figured that is what I would get her for her birthday. Any suggestions for someone who, I would say, has a pretty basic understanding of cameras - though she will be using and playing with it a pile?

Also - if there is a camera that is extremely better just outside of my price range, suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks guys - I know there is a lot of knowledge out there, some of you guys take amazing pictures of your own!
