But nationally, the (probable) drug overdose death has doomed the Vancouver camp out, and Saskatoon has already bailed because the temperature dropped below freezing. I haven't heard anything much about other Canadian locations. Whatever the state of the American Occupy protests, the Canadian ones are stagnant at best, collapsing in some locales, and utterly ridiculous at times, especially in Calgary.

I agree they're ridiculous, but when the warm weather comes back they'll likely be protesting again. I've always thought the cold weather argument was overplayed, considering no one wants to freeze and die (and understandably so). I highly doubt winter will stop a movement with this type of momentum. Come Spring, they'll be back.
On a side note, the Occupy Atlanta movement is actually following the by-laws. They aren't allowed on their space past 11:00 PM, so they're all standing on the sidewalk next to the park until the morning. Stubborn, yes, but law-abiding, yes. Just interesting the folks in Olympic Plaza can't do the same.
