You can also get your sunshine card linked to your credit card and go direct to lift. The lines are often terrible for lift tickets, but you can go inside and use a self serve machine which is usually pretty quick.

Yes, I had my Sunshine card linked to my credit card last year, so I could bypass the ticket queue. The gondola ride is about 25 minutes to the top, though, based on previous tests where I've timed it.
