I figured this is as good a place as any to ask this question.

I have a Nikon D80, I seem to have put the camera into some sort of inverse mode.

When its in Aperature mode the Shutter speed is set to 5 minutes when it should be set to 1/3 ish.

When in Shutter Speed mode its the same thing, the Aperature is set way off base.

When I set it to manual I can set both and everything is fine. I tried resetting the camera and turning it on and off and pulling the battery and its the same thing in S and A model.

I am new to the DSLR game and I am at a loss, I would hate to take a walk to the Camera Store and look like an idiot rather than just maybe sounding like an idiot on a flames message board
