Here's an example for you: a 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB with a 0-60 mph of 8.1 seconds.
Today that kind of 0-60 wouldn't be considered a sports car. Back then it was a sports car. That's the type of Ferrari I was referencing when I made the above comment.
Ferrari supercars (what you've been referencing) from back then are more akin to sports cars today.
My point is this: cars today perform better in every measurable way than their equivalents from the 70s and 80s. Do you agree with that?
