Assault rifles is what you would be using in a real zombie apocalypse, at least, after the first few days and with any kind of group. You'd want to have everyone have the same weapons with the same ammo to make things as simple as possible, and there would be enough military equipment lying around so that you would never, ever run out of parts or ammunition.

The crossbow/bow would be useful for silent kills, so as not to attract other zombies. So that part makes some sense, at least. But I'd have to think I'd be wanting a sword, too - it never runs out of ammo, and it's quiet, and it keeps the zombie at arm's length when you're killing it. It's not like the zombies are going to fence with you - just keep stabbin' 'em in the face.
