Depends on the zombie, but a 'traditional zombie' who is reanimated dead, won't starve to death. Zombies that are the result of a virus mutation and as such are not really undead could very well starve, like in 28 Days Later.

We don't know a lot about the zombies in The Walking Dead (from the TV series alone), but they seem to be reanimated, and as such, I would find it unlikely that they would starve to death.
