Anyone else think CBC is playing this dispute poorly? I honestly think it is a ploy by their competitors to get access to information and pressure their funding model under the guise of fiscal prudence.
However, lately my take is that CBC has come out with some real odd decisions and departed from their mandate of balanced news production. They seem to be catering to the extreme left wing aspect of the news, which only fuels the fire of their critics.
It's like the last season of Boston Legal, where they knew they had one last shot to go nutter extreme with their messaging. It's like they have given up and resigned themselves that they are going to get their budget slashed.
By the way, there was a good editorial about the CBC refusing to disclose how much George Stombouloupolos spent entertaining friends at the Toronto International Film Festival. This could be the straw that shifts public opinion away from CBC.

For the record, I actually had preferred the CBC news content of all national options until the last 2 months.
