That would be Of Promises Broken [6-30-90] Knebworth

To simply put it, I would take and live version over a studio copy any day… there’s just no comparison. But for the sake of adding to the thread I’ll jot down a couple memorable performances

1987-09-25 – Last Echoes
Echoes - Just as the titled says, this recording is the last time that Pink Floyd ever played the masterpiece. It was during this ’87 tour that David decided to drop this from their set list due to today’s crowds no longer became a good backdrop for the song due to the cheering. Although not my most preferred recording of this song, it still is one of my favorites.

1994-05-14 – And The Bell Tolls
Comfortably Numb – Is said to be David’s own choice as best guitar solo he ever had and when listening this recording, I would be hard pressed to find another to disagree with that statement..

1970-1971 - The BBC Archives
Green is the Colour – Much of the later recordings became longer jams but I still prefer this simple version, done in the intimate surroundings of the BBC studio. Gilmour’s voice is still undeveloped but has gaining the confidence that would soon become the voice of Floyd.

1971-10-? – Pompeii
A Saucerful Of Secrets – late during the 71 tour and the pre-dark side recording this song really started to take on life from a not so well idea from their studio recording. The end passage is one of my favourite movements from all the Pink Floyd recordings.

Maybe I’ll post some more later, but these are a couple I particularly enjoy.
