2) Wouldn't the homeless and downtrodden be part of the 99%? Aren't they what these protests are all about?
3) I'm really confused now by the demographic that wants to be represented here, are they pissed off because they're no longer loading the slurpee machine with a 96 Southern Rhone Chateauneuf du Pape, but are substituting the 2002 instead.

I can't speaks directly for the New York stuff, but here's what I've observed or heard from first hand looks of whats going on in DC.
1) In DC and New York, they've received dozens of donations from local organic farmers, local restaurants and union groups, people who are on side with what the protestors stand for. Many people who are sympathetic or don't want to be there occupying 24/7 will donate food, as away of helping out without. Again, it's hard to fathom but not everyone on the entire planet thinks it's a waste of time. Similar to not everyone on the entire planet thinks the tea party is a waste of time.
2) The DC occupy group doesn't seam to have the same issues with the homeless population that
usually inhabit McPherson Square, it's helped bring more attention to the situation.
Can't vouch for the New York one as I don't have first hand experience, but it seams like the real question is about
public safety and the criminal element.
I don't know, but I'd be curious to see more information come out and not just from the NY Post.
3) Where can I buy this slurpee machine that you speak of. It sounds fantastic.
