i just realized what a perfect storm this has all been. first a random newbie tries to get CP to perform a vote Jihad on his behalf, like those are given out like candy, and gets properly rebuffed. then someone else in that contest just happens to have the name WANNAMAKER which just lends itself to so many clever puns that this thing just had to take off. then when it looks like the contest is well in hand and interest wanes, a new challenger appears from the darkness and threatens the collective CP iEgo, and they're RUSSIANS! so now that the story has morphed from a small vote anti-Jihad to an epic battle between communism and freedom, some start to believe that there is no more hope against the mighty Russian bots. yet when all seems lost, a new voice appears to try and stem the CP tide of votes, pleading that the Russian "deserves to win". now the masses have their new warcry and a surge of votes start to flood in, determined to show this naive fool how wrong the horse he backed was. and with victory in sight, the mayor and a hockey player took to twitter and said "This is good"
the internet should have it's own Academy Awards, we would run away with that ####
