I am trying to pawn off my old winter tires and rims to either my sister or my parents, who both have cars with a 4x100 bolt pattern and 14 inch wheels, which is perfect. The tire size, however, is 185/60r14 vs. 195/65r14. According to this tire size calculator (
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html), the difference in radius would be about 0.2 inches, and the speedometre would be 2.1% off.
Does anyone know if this is a reasonable difference? Any reason why this wouldn't work? What is typically a reasonable difference: 1%, 2%, 5%, etc?
