West Virginia in my opinion is a more solid football program in the last decade than either leaving. West Virginia has shown the weak schedule hasn't defined them with bowl victories over higher ranked Georgia and Oklahoma (not like they beat lesser BCS teams). TCU it's to be determined, but Patterson is one helluva coach and I think he can take advantage of the recruiting boost it will give him. I definitely don't think we are a worse football conference because of it. I am guessing a Louisville invite is coming too as I can't see not adding a team close to WVU. I wonder who #12 will be Cincy or BYU or some other?
Also want to add that every year WVU has played a SEC team in nonconference. LSU last 2 years, Auburn 2 years before that and Miss St before that. So they didn't hide from tough ooc games.
