As per the original OP it is some sort of entrepreneur class from SAIT and they are having a contest with used coffee cups I believe.
And just to make sure it has no legitimacy, as opposed to the prof marking them based on viability and originality, they've made it a popularity contest by having people vote.
So really the winner is whoever has the most FB friends or who gets CP to do a Jihad for them.
I'm sure that girl and her dad will be proud when they find out she won because of CP (well except for Shermanator's comment, that's just creepy). Let's hope it ends as hilariously as the bake contest and the lady who came here and freaked out.
