Windows install problem
I just bought a new PC and rather than buy an oem version of Win7, I used my old XP disk. The install kept failing and giving me the same error saying that Windows has to shut down. I called the shop that built the PC and the tech support there told me that the version of XP I'm using is too old, that i need at least XP with SP2 embedded. Is this true or did i buy a dud? The PC I got is based on an i3-540 processor. I'm thinking of slipstreaming SP2 into my XP install files and burning a new disk but there's no point if its a hardware problem.
