I mean I may not like someone and may talk about their questionable parentage among my friends, but if I end up in their house I'm going to be respectful to their mother, and thank them for their hospitality.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work that way, and we STILL get 30-50% of new users registering on this site are Canucks fans, and they're obviously not coming here for the great coverage of the Canucks.

I have to take issue with your point. I find this site more than satisfies my Canucks coverage requirements.
