We can whine and complain about them, but they are doing something that a lot of us struggle with and are rarely successful with and thats understanding the heartbeat of your customer and creating a product that resonates with them.
If your a B list celebrity that can cash in on that, good for you.
We can complain and take shots at these people and people like Paris Hilton but at the end of the day they've done an amazingly good job of creating name recognition and they've done it as people that even 15 years ago wouldn't have been able to leverage their minor celebrity.
You only need to look at how many minor and even major celebs have tried and failed to make that transition to consumer product magnet.
I don't begruge them their success and the money that they're making.
Make more clothes and more perfume, put out more reality shows and boot leg porn discks.
