Why not? He just walked right up to Hector and sat down in front of him, same as Gus did everytime he went to see him. He didn't speak to anyone else while he was there.

The superlab is burned down now. If they're all illegals working there, they have no reason to ever go back, and I doubt they'll be easy to find now.
And I'm not saying the two event are mutually exclusive either.
It's just that I suspect next season we will see Walt going down a very dark path and killing an innocent old lady is something that would drive home this point nicely. Plus there's the fact that Breaking Bad rarely puts scenes that have such little significance. Just a thought.
