Anywho, when they started a new contract with Bell, a current promotion was free long distance. They travel outside of Newfoundland quite a bit, and come back to Alberta regularly to visit etc. I am wondering if there is any point in changing numbers to a 709 area code when they return, or if they should just keep the Alberta number?

If I understand it right there won't be any additional charges either way now, since there won't be additional charges on top of her regular minutes.

Ah, four hours of sleep, brain not working. I think I should know this.
While they may have long distance free for OUTGOING calls that they make, I can't imagine all their friends/businesses out east have the same, so having a local area code to their residence could be important for people trying to call them.
