I'm not sure of the exact averages, but I believe Calgary's probably in the low to mid twenties over the last ten years, while Edmonton is probably mid to high twenties.

That's right. Edmonton has more homicides on average than Calgary does, it's just this year is exceptionally bad for Edmonton, and exceptionally good for Calgary.
