One tech blogger said it will be the feature you never use after a week, but I could just as easily see it going the other way: the essential feature you can't live without.
We'll see if the tech has caught up to the idea yet, but I could easily see intelligent voice controls fundamentally changing how we think about the relationship between man and machine.
Apple is a company that makes big bets on tech. Firewire didn't really pan out but multi touch really paid off for them. We'll have to wait and see how voice works out.

People have given up on voice control in the past, because it simply wasn't powerful enough, or was too awkward to use. If Apple can create something that works well, and is powerful, people will use it.
