NFL Conference Championships
I look forward to this day every year even more than the Super Bowl.
The 12 guys in our fantasy football league get together at the pub to watch a double header of playoff football. This is the 8th year we've done this as a league. The money collected from waivers and trades will pay most of the tab. (I'm not kidding. We probably collected more than $700 from these transactions). I hope I can see through the fog by the 4th quarter of the second game.
I think both games are going to be close. But unlike last week when visiting teams did well, I think both home teams will win today. Make it a Denver-Seattle Super Bowl. Having said that, I don't feel comfortable wagering against Carolina in Seattle. The Seahawks still have something to prove in my opinion. In the other game, Denver is a tough place to win for visiting teams. Even though the Steelers are on a roll, I think Denver is better suited to handle the Pittsburgh pass rush. Jake Plummer is at his best when he's forced to scramble.
