Most people are influenced by the media. Look at this trial, Michael Jacksons trials looked hilarious when/if a person actually looked at the evidence/testimony which is public.

That's too hard for a lot of people to do. Hell, the media themselves ignore a lot of evidence to make stories look "sexy".
