If Mar wins it's probably the best case scenario for the PC's but they will still be divided.
If Redford squeaks out a win on the preferential ballot then once again we will have a leader who won without the most votes and was backed by almost none of the sitting MLA's.
Before people jump all over me look at the turnout. Obviously lots of non PC'ers voted in this race yet the total number of votes is a little over half of 2006. The centre and centre-left are still behind the party but the right and centre-right have moved on. This party is now basically the same as the BC Liberals, a joining of Liberal and PC voters.
The next election could be interesting, as the PC's veer to the left I expect the Wildrose will easily become official opposition to a minority government. The PC's will need support from Libs and NDPs to keep confidence. Just a prediction.
