One example would be the dog park in Cambrian Heights. One of the best places in the city to take your dog and allow them to roam off-leash. What happens? Some resident decides that there is too much traffic in the area, complains to the city and has the fence removed on one side, completely negating the purpose of the park in the first place.

Another example would be neighbors complaining about my grandparents garden behind their house. It had been there for 40 years, and yes it was outside the property line. However it was well maintained, had a nice walking path for people to go through, and it wasn't the only garden like it in the neighborhood. Some lady complains that her dog gets attacked by another dog in the vicinity of the garden, and the garden has to go. Even the bylaw officer shook his head and apologized with a "we know this is ridiculous, but the neighbor complained..."

The world is way too sensitive about little things that really don't affect you and it is a big pet peeve of mine.

Another one is rewarding kids for "participation." All that it teaches them is to be entitled and that if they tried their "best" it is good enough. Sorry. If you aren't first, you're last. But that discussion is not for this thread.

Actually this whole post should just go in the grinds my gears thread, but cheers.

If you want to inject insulin at a restaurant, do it discreetly, I don't care.
If it was done discreetly I never would have known and this thread never would have been started.
