Well, we don't know if there was a reason he might not have wanted to do it in the restroom. Perhaps there was a good reason. Not being in his position, and not asking him, we don't know and it's hard to say we know better than the guy with the actual condition.
I can see how it's not the best manners in the world, but on the other hand, I don't think it's rude. I'm sure he's not excited about it either. And as I said above, instead of freaking out about it, one could take it as a reality check. A reason to be thankful or to understand others point of view.
