Agreed. Plus you have to remember the labor uncertainty that all GM's were faced with going into the offseason last year. It would be absolutely crazy for AJ Smith to give Jackson a multi-year contract without fully understanding the new CBA and its affects on player contracts. Criticize him all you want, but i feel he made the smart move by waiting and letting him hold out. Has it cost them yet? Sure they missed the playoffs last year, and maybe would have one another game or two with him in the lineup early on, but at the end of the day, hes still a Charger. And more importantly, AJ Smith understands his value now without him in the lineup.
