Excuse me if this has already been answered, the thread is at 46 pages at the moment.

I am in the market for a new truck. Currently I am in between the Sierra 1500 and RAM 1500; and leaning towards the GMC. Likley buying a new truck rather than used. My question relates to dealer incentives. I would assume, around this point in time would be the best time to pick up a new 2011 at a reduced price as they try and make room for the 2012’s. You always hear those commercials on the radio and such, but never looked into it that much. Have any information on the validity of that statement?

Further, are those dealer incentives actually worth pursuing? Such as the public gets the friends and family discount etc? I understand the dealerships get the rebate directly from GM head office, so they can offer better prices than if it was just them selling…but I’m not too sure.

If you could add some insight I’d appreciate it.
