I forgot about the AB Liberals. Interesting about France, because that is a party that actually has a real chance.

I prefer that you have to be a member to vote for the leader of the party. The dollar amount is not prohibitive in any way. But the membership holds back people that do not want to hold membership in the party for any particular reason. If you don't believe in the party, you can vote against them in the free public vote.
