It seems surprising to me that only 1/4 of the planes was brought down by the people on the plane, and that 3/4 were able to hit their targets.

It would have been awefull to be on flight 93, they knew what was happening, on the other jets the passengers, while frightened in the abstract, if you will, had no idea they were just about to die. They wouldn't have been able to see foward just sideways and probably assumed they would land and be held hostage, their death would have been both instant and basically unexpected.
Its the poor #######s that had to jump to their deaths from the towers I can't handle, I can't even watch that footage.
