Gilles Savard running at about 5% in the polls in the Bloc dominated riding Jonquiere-Alma conceeds and throws support to Jean-Pierre Blackburn, a former MP in the Mulroney government, who has been surging in the polls.

Liberal spokeperson confirmed that Savard conceeded but of course it's too late to remove his name from the ballot.

It's a riding that the Bloc won 55% of the vote. But wow is that ever a headline the Liberals don't need.
