I've known a few people who had a Mr.Sub and either sold it or it shut down. Everybody I know who has a Subway is thriving (Obviously location matters as well).
I'm also one of those people who like convenience. If Mr.Sub was close to my house and Subway was 3X further, I would probably go to Mr.Sub. Same distance, it's Subway all the way.

Im not debating your comment but would be curious if any others know of people whom own subway franchises. I heard that they are a very tough chain to make it in and that they change hands quite a bit.
