Right now, I just roll in the banelings (so, so many banelings...) and hope to take out enough of the troops that my mutas can mop up without getting too pulverized by the marines. This can't be the 'best' way to handle this. Any thoughts on a better way?

I play Zerg mainly so I'll try to explain. Ling/bane/muta works fairly well, though a little tricky to control perfectly. I am far from perfect, but I usually have ling/bane on one hotkey and move in and try to surround the marines before I A-move the whole group. Try to make sure the banes don't hit tanks, if you have to A-move the lings (and mutas) and control the banes towards marines. The mutas, on a seperate hotkey, I tried to pick off tanks (before the ling/bane engagement if possible) to keep the tank count low, and just a-move them before I use the ling/bane. It's kind of hard to explain, easier to show...if you're on one day I could try to show (maybe against Mr. Fish!). He's right on the build order being important, as well as upgrades...ling and bane speed, +1 melee/armour and air attack are important!
Also, it's good to have an extra hatch after you expand to have a mass of lings, the more lings the better!
