I've never, ever had a discussion with a smoker who thought the smoke didn't smell. Not all of them find it disgusting but they know that it is there.
I also love the underlying way that the word addict is used. If I didn't know any better I'd think we were talking about meth addicts who sold their house and sucked some scabby dick for a drag. Although I guess that is part of the problem. When that is how you look at those people how could anyone expect a reasonable response?

That would be great if we were talking about those addictions...but we are not. Considering the dependence rating (higher than heroin, cocaine, alcohol, caffeine, and marijuana - dated study and I am not sure if it has been changed/updated) I think it is relatively safe to assume that you will not get a reasonable/rational answer from smokers. It basically comes down to rationalizing an irrational act.
