Wow, a lot of people here aren't going to vote. That surprises me. I know we don't have much in the way of good options, but at least say something. Spoil your ballot, write your own name in (I did this once in a Provincial election, I got three votes!) but take the opportunity to vote. It's not like we're getting shot at making our way to the polls like so many other poor people arund the world.

I'll be voting green, and I challenge anyone who feels their say doesn't matter or it isn't worth it to do the same. Will they win any seats, probably not, especially here in Alberta, but the larger the popular vote they get, the more other parties will sit up and take notice, the stonger they can come out next time. I think I read something about needing a certain percentage of the pop vote to qualify as a national party. I thought they had done this last time, but more can't hurt.

Regardless, I'm not going to thumb my nose at anyones refusal to vote, that's the best thing about a democracy, is having the choice. But I repsect people like Table 5 who sends his in for a Green vote that probably won't matter, or Kootnay who will get to the booth just for the sake of getting to the booth.

It's one of the few responsibilities we are asked of. And unfortunately, it's the best process we have thus far.
