Wow. I remember when I was going to university in the mid 90's- and that mall looked like it was about to die then. For the burger place, was it the Burger King that became Pony Corral? They couldn't afford to change the sign so it was in the shape of the BK sign for years.
Now there was another burger place north of there on the same side of Pembina- it was like Havey's in that you picked your own toppings; but way better. The first one in the city was in the old Ponderosa building on Portage; by Unicity. Is that the burger place you are thinking of?
