I knew the guy that ran the Calgary locations years ago and he made gobs of money every Xmas. Calendars are a huge stocking stuff/cheap gift which is the bulk of the sales. Overhead is really low because they get killer rates on their rent, and their margins are very high. Low risk and high potential reward. The only crappy thing is he had to work his arse off every Xmas.
