Truth. Every single small town in Alberta has a Chinese and western restaurant. I was having lunch once at said restaurant in Consort. It was noon, and I was the only customer. The nice little old Chinese lady who served me stared at me the entire meal trying to decipher if I was enjoying it and if i needed my glass of pop refilled. It was unnerving.

The small Manitoba town where my Grandma lived, population 550, actually has 2 Chinese Restaurants. Only place I know of where you can get Chow Mein, Perogies and Cabbage Rolls, and a traditional Turkey dinner at the same time!
