Except someone farting in public isn't going to cause you to develop cancer, breathing in second hand smoke (over a long period of time) can cause you to develop cancer. I would be interested to see in 20-30 years time the lung cancer rates after the removal of smoking from bars/nightclubs and whether there is a subsequent decrease. It just feels natural now for there to be no smoking in the bar, coming home at the end of the night and not smelling like putrid smoke is much different than before.
Also every single person on this board farts in public - you included.
