I was just in Anaheim last week. Stayed at the Lemon Tree Hotel (it's actually mainly a Motel). It was cheap but really good. Not sure what your budget is but if you're not wanting to spend a lot, it's a good option. Our room was like $60.
If you're more of a high roller, I love the Island Hotel in Newport Beach near Fashion Island. The Oilers used to stay there a few years back.
For something to do after the game, Downtown Disney is actually pretty cool. They have an ESPN Zone (plus 3-4 other bars) and it's just down the street from Angel Stadium. Parking is free if you're out after 3 hours.
Another option is The Block in Orange which is just south one exit on the I-5. It's an outdoor complex with shops, bars, restaurants, etc. The shops are open until midnight and the bars/restaurants are open later.
