If they were going to be logging flight hours/training anyway, that's fine. I just don't want to see taxpayers money wasted on pay for jets to fly over a football game.

Yeah, but the tradition of jets doing a flyover at the Labour Day Classic game has been going on since
1985.
Therefore, it is good and worthwhile.
