Well, with James Earl Jones supplying the voice to Darth Vader, many thought he was under the suit, but he wasn't. However, if you had his ghost there, things would have been a bit awkward, since Luke would have to have been black, not white.
Though I suppose one could argue that at that point in time in the future, changing a baby's skin color in utero wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.
