Congradulations for shoping in bi box stores with low salary employees who really don't give a crap. You can find the same in the car industry as well. Not everyone out there knows little and cares only what might make them money. Also, I didn't say I was a sales person at a big box retailer.

I've found far more poor and miss-information from know-it-all consumers like yourself that's far more damaging than a simple uncaring employee.

You will always pay more for the names Sony and Apple. Doesn't matter what the produt is. LG makes decent higher end product but their entry level is sub-par. They and toshiba are trying to cash in on passive 3D home monitors by missleading consumers about their 3D not actually being 3D.

Cral12 - stay away from Sharp, especially if you love watching hockey. It will take 1 game of seeing 2 pucks all the time for you to shoot your brand new TV.

Edge lit LEDs will have light creeping in the sides. Full array backlit should not. Should I said.

The Pany plasma's will give you the best motion because they run at 600hz not 60 pretending to be 120 or 240 and looking like cardboard cut-outs, and they will have the highest contrast ratio giving you the deepest blacks and there for better colour reproduction.
