I bought it from costco, so I've got a while to return it. I'm thinking I'll continue to break it in and see if it gets any better, and if it doesn't return it at that time.

I have read that this can be an issue for plasmas, but I hadn't seen much talking about it if gets better after the break in period.

The picture is fantastic though, just concerned about the IR and, I guess, burn in. I vary my viewing enough that I'm not overly concerned about burn in, but it's a bit annoying to watch something for an hour, turn the channel and still be able to see the IR for a couple minutes afterwards (more if you walk up to the TV and look more closely).
