BTW, one of the great arguments by conspiracy theorists is that the CIA is a competent and deadly shadow organization that has either planned or driven most of these government events.
I would highly recommend reading the book "Legacy of Ashes The history of the CIA" by Tim Weiner. Which shows that since the days of Wild Bill Donovan the CIA has not has competent leadership and was more concerned with its internal rivalries between departments, and external rivalries with other intelligence organizations in the States to actually accomplish anything nearing competence.
The book illustrates that nearly every leader since its founding has left the CIA worse then the man he replaced.
If the CIA had a proper flag it would feature a likeness of Laurel and Hardy.
