Win is Sweet as Taffe-y

Capitals continued their hot play on Tuesday by disposing of the Dallas Stars by a 6-1 Margin. The NHL's hottest team in the last month was paced by a 5pt performance (5 assists) by Jeff Taffe. The hot and cold Taffe seems to be heating up just in time for the Capitals to continue their solid play. Nathan Horton turned in a solid effort as well with two goals and an assist.

This game also marked the arrival of something sorely lacking all season. A powerplay and PK. The Capitals went 5/8 on Man advantage and 100% on the PK.

The Capitals have gone 13-2-3 in their last 18 games, garnering 29 of a possible 36 pts over that span. The Capitals hope to continue their movement up the standings with a win tonite against the Sharks.
