Egypt hasnt failed at anything, they are still going to have elections this year. I personally believe if the military doesnt like the outcome, ie the Salafists win, they will coup much like the Turkish military has done numerous times.

Any Egypt election will contain multiple Muslim Brotherhood candidates for them to chose from. Yay democracy!
